The temporary café “Something Signs,” opened on Megijima Island, extends my practice of exploring the boundary between virtual and real space into a place of stay. While arriving at a physical island, visitors are invited to encounter an unseen inner landscape. The entire space functions as an installation, where everyday acts—eating, resting, and conversation—become moments to notice subtle signs and shifts in perception. The work does not remain an object of viewing, but emerges as an experience lived within the space itself.
