For this exhibition, approximately 270 works selected from submissions by children in Ichihara City under the theme “What can you see beyond the window?” were presented alongside my paintings and sculptures. The exhibition translated my usual method—constructing another world in virtual space and discovering landscapes from it—into the physical setting of the Ichihara Lakeside Museum. Workshops were also held, allowing the children’s window images to accumulate within the space. As diverse perspectives, from real scenes to imagined worlds, came together, the world no longer appeared singular; I was reminded that landscapes emerge from each person’s experience.
