A commissioned artwork installed in the common area (garden cafe lounge) of an apartment building in Harumi.
This work was conceived against the backdrop of the environment of Harumi, which was redeveloped as the former site of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Village. Based on the memory of a place where people from diverse backgrounds gathered and interacted, it reconstructs the relationship between the city and nature.
The screen overlays elements such as apartment buildings, the sea, and vegetation, unfolding them as layers of color. Each element, while independent, is interconnected, creating a multi-layered urban landscape that is newly formed.
This work is an attempt to visually present the nature of diversity and coexistence at a place where urban memories and current landscapes intersect.
