This piece was created as a collaborative project within graf's store design and furniture design.
Considering the extensive use of square and rectangular structures in partitions, mirrors, and fixtures throughout the space, a circular support structure was used to create a contrasting composition. The circle is treated as a motif that evokes the sunrise, sunset, and moon movements seen from Shirahama Beach.
The artwork is placed next to the largest window in the store, and by being juxtaposed with the external landscape, it gently connects the relationship between the interior and exterior. The composition superimposes a symbolic landscape within the space, responding to the light and passage of time outside.
