This exhibition brought together the outcomes of the Fuchu Art Museum’s “Open Studio” program over the past 20 years, a long-standing initiative since the museum’s opening. Through works, archival materials, and documentary footage by participating artists, the exhibition offered an overview of artistic practices from the early 2000s onward.
For this exhibition, works produced during Open Studio 75: Iku Harada – “Another World: A Map in Its Tenth Year” (April 13 – July 7, 2019) were presented. Through both the artworks created on site and the documentation of their making, the development of a practice originating from the virtual world “inner space” was introduced.
