Art Ichihara 2024 Autumn SATOMI ART FIELD

In the outdoor sculpture WHITE WALL, motifs developed in my virtual world are overlaid onto the landscape of Ichihara, forming a site where the real and the simulated intersect. Chromatic fragments placed on the white walls and openings that frame the surroundings draw the environment into the work, opening everyday scenery to a different way of seeing. As light and shadow shift over time, relationships within the landscape continue to change depending on viewpoint and moment.
